John is a life-long native of Mobile, Alabama and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1987 after receiving his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
John’s practice focuses on a wide variety of business and real estate matters, and general litigation, including: partnership disputes, contract disputes, boundary line disputes and land redemption issues, automobile accidents, condemnation actions and disability claims.
John is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, Alabama State Bar and is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Real Estate: John has represented both buyers and sellers in commercial transactions totaling over $70 million dollars, to date, as well as, handling residential real estate closings and deed preparation.
Probate: John routinely represents individuals in Probate Court matters, including Will contests and testamentary matters.
Business/Transactional Matters: Formation of corporations and limited liability companies, document drafting; creditor default servicing. John routinely represents numerous banks and mortgage servicers in foreclosure and bankruptcy matters.
Civil Litigation: For 30 years, John has been handling general litigation matters at all levels of the State and Federal court system, involving business disputes and personal injury matters.
Disability Claims: John has successfully handled many cases involving claims for social security disability benefits and employee group disability benefits (ERISA).
Outside General Counsel: John offers expertise and general counsel for small businesses that don’t have in-house counsel but need legal services on a regular basis.
